Ella fights back at Kimbolton

Kingswood’s Ella Stevens put on an impressive comeback at the weekend, fighting her way through the field from 26th to 12th in the final at Round 3 of the Little Green Man Championship (LGM) at Kimbolton, Cambs.

In the first heat Ella was forced off the track, dropping her out of the top 20, but she fought hard to make her way back up to 16th. Heat 2 saw the youngster receive a penalty after crossing the line in the top 10.
Ella was deemed to have cut the track after she was forced to take avoiding action of an incident in front of her, so after the penalty she ended up in 31st place. In the final heat the Immun’Age backed driver once again showed her pace by charging up the field from 20th to 10th.

Her results in the heats meant she qualified 26th out of a field of 45 competitors for the final and the eleven-year-old stormed through the field to put in one of the top drives of the weekend.
After a hard and competitive race, Ella finished an impressive 12th.

Ella Stevens “I am really happy with the result, especially after having the penalty in the second heat. The final was quite a tough one in the warm temperatures, but I got my head down and managed to gain 14 places. I would like to thank my sponsors and family for their support so far this year!”

Ella is next out competing in the British Super One Series on the 16th/17th June at Rowrah, Lake District.
