Ella Stevens Confirmed as BRDC Superstar for Maiden F1 ACADEMY Campaign

The British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) is pleased to confirm that Ella Stevens joins the 2026 BRDC SuperStars line-up, showcasing the next generation of elite British racing talent.

For nearly two decades, the BRDC’s flagship development programme has supported and accelerated the careers of some of motor sport’s most accomplished drivers.

The roster of alumni includes 2025 FIA Formula One World Champion Lando Norris, Grand Prix winner George Russell, ABB FIA Formula E World Champions Jake Dennis and Oliver Rowland, 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Phil Hanson, as well as British Touring Car Champions Tom Ingram, Jake Hill and Ash Sutton – highlighting the programme’s proven impact across multiple disciplines.

For the first time, the BRDC SuperStars programme welcomes three female drivers.

Ella Stevens, a multiple karting champion and McLaren Driver Development Programme member, joins her F1 Academy teammate Ella Lloyd as part of the new intake. Both will compete together in F1 Academy this season.

They join Abbi Pulling, 2024 F1 Academy Champion and a leading contender for the 2026 GB3 title, marking a milestone year for female representation within the BRDC SuperStars Programme.

Derek Warwick, BRDC Vice President

“I’m very proud of the BRDC and their commitment to help young drivers try and achieve their ambitions and dreams of becoming professional racing drivers. The BRDC SuperStars Programme has been going for almost 20 years and goes to show how important the Programme is in nurturing the next generation of British racing drivers. It was very pleasing to see the success achieved with last year’s BRDC SuperStars, and I’m excited to see how this year’s group of Great Britain’s most promising 12 drivers get on this season.”
